14th November 2012 ‘Allies’ was offered this week at Bonhams sale of 20th Century British and Irish Art in London. After strong competitive bidding from a number of interested parties the sculpture commanded a price of £409,250, more than double the top presale estimate (£150,000 - £200,000).
